One of Queensland's most famous pubs gets a new name after extensive facelift
Queensland's former Ettamogah Pub has been given a new name more than a year after the Sunshine Coast icon underwent an extensive renovation. The attraction, seen from the Bruce Highway at Palmview, north of Brisbane, has operated most recently as The Pub at Aussie World, after a copyright matter. It will now be known as the Banana Bender Pub.

Ettamogah Pub. "Ettamogah" is the aboriginal term for "place of good drink" - hence the name of this popular and rather quirky pub on the Sunshine Coast. The concept was originally created by cartoonist Ken Maynard 1959 with the pub being built in 1989 as a tourist attraction. The venue is a fully functioning pub with Bluey's Bar & Grill.
